Can I view a family member's MyChart account?

Yes; this is called Proxy Access. With the appropriate approvals, a parent (or legal guardian) can log into their personal MyChart account and then connect to information regarding their family member. If your child is aged 0–11, you can have full access to your child’s MyChart record. If your child is aged 12–17, you can have partial access to your child’s MyChart record. Privacy laws limit access to personal health data. Proxies for children aged 12–17 are allowed to view allergies and immunizations and can message their child’s providers and request appointments on their child’s behalf. Request proxy access via the appropriate link below:

Can I ask questions regarding a family member from my MyChart account?

No. Questions sent from your MyChart account can only be answered if they pertain to you. If you have proxy access on the behalf of another member, please send messages regarding that individual from their account rather than your own.

Can my spouse and I share one MyChart account?

No. Members must have their own MyChart account.

How is MyChart secure?

We take great care to ensure your health plan information is kept private and secure. Access to information is controlled through secure activation codes and passwords. Each member controls their password, and the account cannot be assessed without that password. Further, MyChart uses the latest 128-bit SSL encryption technology with no caching to automatically encrypt your MyChart session. Unlike conventional e-mail, all MyChart messaging occurs while you are securely logged in.

I was automatically logged out of MyChart. What happened?

We aim to protect your privacy and the security of your information. While logged into MyChart, if your keyboard remains idle for 15 minutes or more, you are automatically logged out. We recommend that you log out of your MyChart session if you need to leave your computer for even a short period of time.

My activation code does not work. What should I do?

For your security, your activation code expires after 60 days and is only valid for one-time use. Upon activation, this code expires and may be safely discarded. When you activate your account, you will create an ID and a password that only you will know. If you have trouble logging in or need a new activation code, please call Member Services at (608) 282-8900 or (800) 545-5015.

Is my activation code the same as my user ID?

No. Your activation code is used only once to log into MyChart for the first time. (The code will expire after you have used it or after 60 days). When you log in for the first time, you will create a unique MyChart ID and password.
